As the Holy Spirit hovered over the chaos at the creation of the world, so this same Spirit poised over Fatima, Portugal on October 13, 1917, in the action of the Miracle of the Sun promised by Our Lady in her apparitions to three young shepherd children. This miracle is often summed up as an event described in a few words, but the depth of what God was doing also reflects the loving care of a mother, the one chosen by God for His own Son. Discover what the message of Fatima entails and what witnesses to the miracle on October 13 reveal about this event. Included will be Holy Mass, the Sacrament of Reconciliation, two conferences, and lunch. In response to Mary’s message to us at Fatima, this Day of Prayer concludes in a public outdoor Rosary open to all at 2:30 PM on the Rosary Terrace of Immaculate Heart Retreat Center.
