Walk for Life Northwest
Join fellow Catholics and pro-life friends from across the Inland Northwest for the 11th Annual Walk for Life Northwest — a peaceful, family-friendly march and rally celebrating the dignity of every human life. We gather at the Rotary Fountain in Riverfront Park in the heart of downtown Spokane. The information tent opens at 12:30 PM, and speaker presentations and the walk begin at 1:00 PM. All ages are welcome — bring your friends, family, parish groups, posters, and banners as we stand together in hope and prayer for the unborn and for all who are affected by abortion. Indeed, Jesuits have figured prominently in the history of astronomy, engaging both mind and heart...the mathematical and scientific study of the phenomena, and also in its history and philosophy, and its reflections in art, photography, and poetry. Don’t miss the opportunity to come seek some of the answers with us and “The Pope’s Astronomer” at this amazing retreat! Br. Guy Consolmagno, SJ, is an astronomer and the Director Emeritus of the Vatican Observatory. A native of Detroit, he earned degrees in Planetary Science from MIT and the University of Arizona. He was a research fellow at Harvard and MIT, served in the Peace Corps, and taught university physics before entering the Society of Jesus in 1989. In addition to Br. Guy’s research, he is the author of more than 300 scientific publications and several popular astronomy books.

All Souls Day Mass with Bishop Daly
The staff of Holy Cross Funeral and Cemetery Services invites you to join them for the Commemoration of All the Faithful Departed—All Souls Day—Mass at 6 p.m. in the Mausoleum Chapel at Holy Cross Cemetery with Bishop Daly presiding. Graveside candles will be lighted for All Souls Day and the cemetery will be open after dusk so you may come and stroll the peaceful beauty of the grounds in remembrance of those wonderful people who have gone before us marked with the sign of faith. Eternal rest grant unto them, O Lord, and let perpetual light shine upon them. May their souls and the souls of all the faithful departed, through the Mercy of God, rest in peace. Amen
