Zach was born and raised in north Spokane. A lifelong athlete, he grew up playing ice hockey locally including 3 years at Eastern Washington University while earning a B.S. in Exercise Science with a minor in Psychology. He graduated summa cum laude with his Doctor of Physical Therapy degree from George Fox University in Newberg, Oregon.
